1. Defeat Uhtred, the Stardrinker: Your journey begins in high-tier Expedition encounters. You need to focus on tracking down and defeating Uhtred, the Stardrinker, who is already a prominent and formidable boss within the Expedition mechanics.
   
2. Secure Olroth's Logbook: Upon defeating Uhtred, keep a close eye on the floor. He has a chance to drop a rare, specific quest item known as Olroth's Logbook. This is your literal golden ticket to the encounter.
   
3. Open the Portal at Kingsmarch: Take Olroth's Logbook back to your hideout and talk to Dannig, the Expedition master. Handing the logbook over will allow him to open a unique expedition portal pointing directly to the Ruins of Kingsmarch.
   
4. Locate the Crater: Once inside the Ruins of Kingsmarch, push your way through the zone until you uncover a distinct comet impact area, forming a massive crater. At the very center of this crater lies the final checkpoint, which leads directly down into The Aberration's arena.
   

• Kite the Tracking Beams: The boss will periodically lock onto you with lethal Ice Beams and elemental lines that trail your position. The best way to handle this is to run in a wide, continuous circle around the arena. Do not attempt to stand still, and avoid panic-rolling directly backward, as you'll likely roll straight into the damage trail.
  
• Dodge the Falling Comets Wisely: You will notice distinct visual circles opening up on the cavern floor, signaling a heavy comet bombardment. The trick here is managing your dodge-roll charges. The boss will spam small projectiles alongside the big comets; ignore the urge to roll away from the small stuff and simply walk out of them. Save your precious dodge-roll charges exclusively for the large comet impacts, which deal devastating damage.
  
• Sidestep the Sweeping Slashes: If you play a melee build or find yourself close to the boss, watch its front appendages. When The Aberration raises its front legs, it is about to execute a massive, 180-degree sweeping slash across its front cone. The moment you see this tell, do not roll away—instead, roll directly through the boss to position yourself safely behind it.

• Hold the Center: It sounds entirely counterintuitive for a spider fight, but the safest place to manage your positioning during this phase is right in the center of the arena. Running to the outer edges will heavily restrict your movement and box you into deadly hazards.
  
• Flank the Flanks: While you want to remain central, never stand directly in front of the spider’s face. Position your character at a slight angle toward its side flanks or rear legs to avoid its most devastating forward-facing attacks.
  
• Flask Cycle and Burst DPS: Make no mistake, this final phase is a strict DPS check. The environmental hazards will quickly multiply and overwhelm your defenses if the fight drags on. This is the moment to pop your offensive cooldowns, cycle your recovery flasks aggressively, stay on the offensive, and melt down its remaining health pool with your highest single-target burst skills.
